I have dreamed of painting large nest scenes but until recently it had been out of reach. When I learned to paint it was in a very literal, detailed way. I did that for a long time before searching for something more authentic to me. Painting as I did here I'm able to capture things more interesting than detail or literal accuracy. It's more like capturing the spirit of something.
